グラフの頂点に接している辺の本数のこと。ループ（同じ頂点に戻る辺）は 2 本と数える。
The number of edges that meet at a vertex of a graph. A loop at the vertex is counted twice.
例文
話し言葉 To find the degree of a vertex, just count how many edges touch it, and remember a loop counts twice. 頂点の次数は、その頂点に接している辺を数えればいい。ループは 2 と数えるのを忘れずに。

言い間違えやすいところ
- 「次数」は多項式の次数（degree of a polynomial、エントリ degree）と同じ degree。グラフでは degree of a vertex、deg(v) と言って区別する。
- 次数が奇数の頂点を odd vertex（奇頂点）、偶数の頂点を even vertex（偶頂点）と呼ぶことがある。一筆書き（Euler trail）の判定に使う。
