取り除くと回帰直線の傾きや切片が大きく変わる点。x の値が大きく外れた点が多い。
A point whose removal would change the slope or intercept of the regression line a lot; often a point far out in the x-direction.
例文
話し言葉 That point is way off to the right, so it's probably influential. あの点は右にずっと離れているので、たぶん影響点。
書き言葉・答案 Identify any influential points and describe how removing them would change the regression line. 影響点があれば挙げ、それを取り除くと回帰直線がどう変わるか述べよ。
