母標準偏差が分からないとき、標本平均を標本標準偏差で標準化した値が従う分布。標準正規分布に似た山形で、裾が厚く、自由度が大きいほど標準正規分布に近づく。
The distribution of a sample mean standardized with the sample standard deviation; it is bell-shaped like the standard normal but has heavier tails, and it approaches the standard normal as the degrees of freedom grow.
