区間推定で、母数を指定した信頼度で含むように求めた区間。

In interval estimation, an interval computed so that it contains the population parameter with a stated level of confidence.

話し言葉 We're 95% confident the true mean is somewhere in this confidence interval. 真の平均がこの信頼区間のどこかにあると 95% の信頼度で言える。

書き言葉・答案 Construct a 95% confidence interval for the population mean and interpret it. 母平均の 95% 信頼区間を求め、解釈せよ。

「95% の確率で母平均がこの区間に入る」とは言わない。同じ大きさの標本を繰り返し取って同じ方法で区間を作ると、そのおよそ 95% が母平均を含む（AP Statistics の CED topic 4.3）。この意味で 95% confident と言う。
z* は z star と読む（用例コーパスの話し言葉ではすべて Khan Academy）。

米国の講義の書き起こし・字幕（話し言葉）と教科書・講義ノート（書き言葉）で、言い方ごとに数えた回数です。語形変化はまとめ、「…」は 1〜3 語の空き。「数えていない」はその側では数えていないことを示します。

取得元と数えた日
