区間 a ≦ x ≦ b での関数の値の平均。定積分を区間の幅で割った (1/(b − a))∫ₐᵇ f(x)dx。
The average of f over [a, b]: the integral divided by the length of the interval, (1/(b − a)) ∫ₐᵇ f(x) dx.
例文
話し言葉 The average value of a function is just the integral divided by the width of the interval. 関数の平均値は、積分を区間の幅で割るだけ。
言い間違えやすいところ
- 学習指導要領解説には出てこない。積分の平均値の定理は mean value theorem for integrals と言う。
- 平均変化率（average rate of change）とは別物。
