Z is the set zero, one, negative one, two, negative two, and so on
Describes a set whose elements can be listed as a first, second, third, and so on, that is, matched one-to-one with a subset of the natural numbers. Some books include finite sets, while others use the word only for countably infinite sets.
The integers are countable, because I can list them: zero, one, negative one, two, negative two, and so on.
Prove that the set of all positive rational numbers is countable.
- 反対は uncountable(非可算)。
