多角形の底面と、1 つの頂点に集まる三角形の側面で囲まれた立体。底面の形によって三角錐、四角錐などと呼ぶ。

言い間違えやすいところ
- 側面の三角形が集まる頂点は apex と言う。底面の角の点も vertex（複数形 vertices）なので、どちらの頂点かを区別する。
- 高さ（height）は apex から底面に下ろした垂線の長さで、側面の三角形の高さ（slant height、エントリ slant-height）とは別。
- 角錐の名前は底面の形を前に付けて言う（square pyramid は底面が正方形の角錐）。
