「散らばり」「ばらつき」は英語では spread と variability の 2 つが並ぶ（下の variants）。動詞「ばらつく」は be spread out と言う。

言い間違えやすいところ
- vary（変わる）は「ばらつく」の意味より、answers may vary や vary t（t を動かす）のような意味で使うことが多い（用例コーパスで見た文脈はすべて別の意味）。
