定義
座標平面（空間）でベクトルを表す数の組 (a₁, a₂) の、それぞれの数。a₁ を x 成分、a₂ を y 成分という。
The numbers a₁ and a₂ in the representation (a₁, a₂) of a vector in the coordinate plane (or space): the x-component and the y-component.
例文

- 行列の「成分」は英語では entry（element）と言い、components とは言わない。
