A value obtained by measuring a quantity such as length, weight, or time. A measurement is an approximate value, so it differs a little from the true value.
A measurement is never exact. If your ruler only has millimeter marks, 12.8 centimeters really means somewhere from 12.75 to 12.85.
The mass of a bag of rice was measured to the nearest 10 g, and the measurement was 2350 g. If the true mass is a grams, write an inequality for a.
