a² + b² = c² を満たす 3 つの自然数の組 (a, b, c)。(3, 4, 5)、(5, 12, 13)、(8, 15, 17) など。

例文

言い間違えやすいところ
- 英語の triple は「3 つ組」。1 つの数の名前ではなく、3 つの数の組の名前。
- 自然数（正の整数）の組に限る。1、1、√2 は直角三角形の辺の長さになるが、ピタゴラス数ではない（エントリ 45-45-90-triangle）。
