- 話し言葉 AP（Khan Academy）の言い方で、AP の CED もこの語を使う（topic 7.3）。話し言葉は大半が Khan Academy。MIT OCW・Professor Leonard も使う。書き言葉では direction field より少ない。
- direction field
- 話し言葉・書き言葉 大学（MIT OCW・OpenStax Calculus）の言い方。書き言葉ではこちらが多い。話し言葉はすべて MIT OCW、書き言葉は OpenStax Calculus と MIT の講義ノート。
定義
微分方程式 dy/dx = f(x, y) の傾きを、平面上の各点に短い線分で描いた図。

例文
話し言葉 Just follow the little segments in the slope field, starting from the initial point. 初期値の点から、方向場の小さな線分に沿ってたどればいい。
書き言葉・答案 Sketch the slope field for dy/dx = x + y at the nine points with x, y ∈ {−1, 0, 1}. x, y ∈ {−1, 0, 1} の 9 点で、dy/dx = x + y の方向場をかけ。
