言い間違えやすいところ
- vertical は「垂直」（perpendicular、エントリ perpendicular）の意味ではなく、vertex（頂点）から来た語で、「頂点を共有する」という意味。対頂角をつくる 2 直線が垂直に交わっている必要はない。
- 「対頂角は等しい」は vertical angles are congruent と言う（CK-12 Geometry 1.16 Vertical Angles）。角が等しいことに congruent（エントリ congruent）を使う。
- vertical angles は 2 つの角の組の名前で、∠1 and ∠3 are vertical angles のように 2 つの角を主語にして言う。英語版 Wikipedia「Angle」は opposite angles ／ vertically opposite angles とも呼ぶ。
