説明的な greatest integer less than or equal to が書き言葉(OpenStax Calculus)にわずかに出てくるだけ)。正の数の整数部分は床関数の値 ⌊x⌋(the floor of x)と同じで、OpenStax Calculus Volume 1 は ⌊x⌋ を the floor function と呼び、Volume 2 は [x] を the greatest integer less than or equal to x と説明する。英語版 Wikipedia「Floor and ceiling functions」は integer part のほか integral part・greatest integer とも呼ぶ。
the floor of x
The greatest integer that does not exceed a real number x; for a positive number it is the part before the decimal point.
