言い間違えやすいところ
- tri- は「3 つの」の意味。項が 1 つなら monomial（エントリ monomial）、2 つなら binomial（エントリ binomial）。
- OpenStax Elementary Algebra は x² + bx + c ／ ax² + bx + c の因数分解を Factor Trinomials of the Form … の節で扱う（IM Algebra 1 は trinomial を使わず、Rewriting Quadratic Expressions in Factored Form）。
- x² + 6x + 9 = (x + 3)² のように、2 乗の形に因数分解できる三項式は perfect square trinomial（完全平方式、エントリ perfect-square-trinomial）と呼ぶ。
