式と読み方

\int_0^1 t^2\,dt = \int_0^1 x^2\,dx

the integral from zero to one of t squared dt equals the integral from zero to one of x squared dx

積分される関数の変数。dx の x、dt の t にあたる。

The variable you integrate with respect to, such as the x in dx or the t in dt.

話し言葉 The t here is just the variable of integration. You could call it anything and the answer wouldn't change. この t はただの積分変数。どんな文字にしても答えは変わらない。

書き言葉・答案 Changing the variable of integration from t to x does not change the value of the integral. 積分変数を t から x に変えても、定積分の値は変わらない。

積分変数を何の文字にしても値が変わらないことを言うとき、授業では dummy variable（見かけの変数）と呼ぶことがある。dummy variable は Σ の添え字にも使う広い語で、積分変数の別名ではない。統計の dummy variable（ダミー変数）とも別の意味。
