曲線の凹凸が入れ替わる点。

例文
話し言葉 The inflection point is where it switches from concave down to concave up. 変曲点は、上に凸から下に凸へ切り替わるところ。
書き言葉・答案 Find the inflection points of f(x) = x⁴ − 6x². f(x) = x⁴ − 6x² の変曲点を求めよ。
言い間違えやすいところ
- f″(c) = 0 でも凹凸が入れ替わらなければ変曲点ではない（x⁴ の x = 0）。
