三角形の 3 つの頂点から対辺（またはその延長）に下ろした垂線が交わる点。

例文

言い間違えやすいところ
- 頂点から対辺に下ろした垂線は英語で altitude（高さ）。垂心は鋭角三角形では内部、直角三角形では直角の頂点、鈍角三角形では外部にある。
- 用例コーパスの orthocenter は話し言葉ではすべて The Organic Chemistry Tutor。書き言葉には出てこない。
- 英国式のつづりは orthocentre。
