学習指導要領解説（数学III）には、回転体の体積の求め方の名前が出てこない。OpenStax Calculus は disk method ／ washer method ／ shell method と名前で呼び分ける。見出しの「円板法」は学習指導要領解説に無い（日本語版 Wikipedia「回転体」にはある）。

回転体を回転軸に垂直な薄い円板に分け、その体積を積分して回転体の体積を求める方法。
A way to get the volume of a solid of revolution: cut it into thin disks perpendicular to the axis of rotation and integrate their volumes.
例文
