A intersect B
A ∩ B と書く。
The set whose elements are exactly the ones that lie in A and also in B, written A ∩ B.
The intersection is just what the two sets have in common, the part where the circles overlap in the Venn diagram.
Let A = {1, 2, 3, 4} and B = {3, 4, 5}. Find the intersection of A and B. A = {1, 2, 3, 4}、B = {3, 4, 5} のとき、A と B の共通部分を求めよ。
- A ∩ B は A intersect B と読む。
